Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to make an appointment?
A: Yes, appointments are required.
Q: How old do you have to be to get a tattoo?
A: You must be at least 18 years or older to receive a tattoo. Parents CANNOT consent for underage tattoos in the state of NC.
Q: Where are you located?
A: I am working out of Dead Hero Tattoo in Kings Mountain, NC. Our shop address is
245 S Battleground Ave. Kings Mountain, NC
245 S Battleground Ave. Kings Mountain, NC
Q: What are your rates?
A: I charge an hourly rate of $120/hour for large pieces, and smaller pieces are typically charged by the piece. The minimum is $60.
Q: What kind of after care do you recommend?
A: We typically use Dermshield, a clear bandage that stays on for 3 days(at least) and up to a week. Once that bandage is removed, I recommend Aquaphor or Lubriderm 3x a day until it is fully healed! If you do not use this bandage, or do not keep it on, please wash your piece 3x a day with antibacterial soap and water, and apply Crave (or another similar non petroleum based) ointment in a very thin layer.
Q: How soon can I get tattooed?
A: I am typically booked out for at least 1.5-2 months. Plan to book in advance! Please expect a waiting period before you get your piece.
Q: Do you do realism portraits?
A: I do not typically tackle portraits. I will refer you to Casey Burnett for all of your portrait needs!
Q: Does it hurt?
A: Yes.
Q: Can my kids tag along to my appointment?
A: Typically, children under the age of 14 are not allowed in the shop (some special circumstances apply). The owners children and my own stop by occasionally, but no toddlers or infants are allowed whatsoever. This is mainly for safety purposes.
Q: Can I bring a friend?
A: We ask that you limit it to 1-2 friends to come along! This prevents overcrowding in the rooms.
